US Congressman Rohrabacher writes to Nikolic: Exchange territories with Kosovo
Whenever "American democratic and moral principles" collide with American interests, this kind of rhetoric could be heard. Kosovars? What is that? A new nation? The situation is very simple. Albanian ethnic minority in Serbian Province of Kosovo and Metohija (Metohija means the monastery's land) have been trying for decades to seize this ancient Serb's land. Under protection of Tito's commies they proliferated mating like rabbits (as a national task) or entering illegally from Albania. That has been going on since the end of WWII. In the same time, as their population grew, the Serbs have been oppressed in order to be forced to leave the Province. Killing, raping, intimidation have been broadly used methods for this ethnic cleansing tolerated by Tito's commies for decades. Every Serb's reaction to these atrocities was suppressed, and punished as "Serbian nationalism and chauvinism". Seizing the moment of decomposition of Yugoslavia, ethnic Albanian minority rose an armed rebellion under open support of USA, Germany and the most NATO countries. Under NATO protection Albanian national minority self-proclaimed "the independent State of Kosovo"!!! The flag of Tito's communist’s policy toward Serbs, has been taken and proudly lifted by NATO! Now, Serbs have to negotiate about its own land with ethnic minority Albanian rebels installed and protected by NATO, and NATO through EU is the mediator of these negotiations!? If Serbs did not comply, they would be “bad guys, working against the peace in the region”! Very democratic, ain’t it? But, serves the interests. |
The US Republican Senator came out with a very bright idea - "Exchange Serbian territory of Kosov and Metohija for Serbian territories of three municipalities, on the Serbian south, Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja! Who gonna benefit of this "idea"? Shqiptar ethnic minority, of course. US are trading with something that is not theirs. Shriptars are trading with something that is not theirs. So, who is the owner of the goodies? The Republic of Serbia!
The clash between Kosovo and Serbia following the arrest of former Kosovo prime minister Ramush Haradinaj, and preventing of Serbian train from entering Kosovo, has brought to attention again the idea for exchange of territories in the north, and this option was proposed also by the US Republican Congressman, Dana Rohrabacher, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Europe, and Eurasia, Tirana based Vision Plus reports.

The US congressman letter to Serbian president Tomislav Nikolic among other things reads:
“Another negative example was the train with provocative symbols which was headed towards north of Kosovo. Instead making efforts for involving Kosovo in a war for its sovereignty, in an area with the Serbian majority, both sides should ask change border in the north, which would be of a mutual interest and will result with more Serbs in Serbia and more Kosovars in Kosovo. This option is available and should not be ignored,” it is written in the document.
The US lawmaker expressed his concern to Serbian President Nikolic related to the arrest of Ramush Haradinaj, based on a 13 years old warrant, it is written in the letter.
“The effort to have Haradinaj detained as a ‘war criminal’ – after he has been twice acquitted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia – was counter-productive and simply ripping a scab of a healing wound. Such acts of irrational vengeance will undoubtedly undermine efforts to secure peace and maintain stability in the Balkans,” it is written in the letter.
“This attack against a former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leader might open the way for similar legal attacks against Serbian leaders involved in bloodshed and ethnic cleansing during the ugly and brutal conflict which involved Balkans, after the disintegration of Yugoslavia. While such actions are ongoing, the chances for escalation of public order and inciting of violence in an uncontrolled scale are likely. Instead of flaming conflicting fires, all sides in Balkans should ask reconciliation, which is benefiting to all,” it is stated in a letter cited by TV Vision Plus in Tirana. Congressman Rohrbacher is known as one of the US politicians who strongly supported NATO’s intervention for liberation of Kosovo.
