a New Invasion by Sea

Walls work! Year-on pictures show how Europe's new Iron Curtain stemmed the tide of migrants through the Balkans - now continent faces a new invasion by sea

- This time last year hundreds of thousands of migrants were heading to northern Europe through the Balkan route
- But since February this year many countries along the route have closed or tightened their borders stopping flow
- Recent jaw-dropping photos of sites that only months ago were packed with refugees show how tide has stopped
- Instead people smuggling gangs have switched to more dangerous routes across the Mediterranean to Italy, Spain

BREXIT – WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND!

You stupid, greedy, ARROGANT BASTARDS!
Have you really thought to get out clean sowing wind, and not harvesting storm? It is easier to cause divisions in other countries, than to watch them at home, ain’t it? The ghost of the breakup of Yugoslavia and all the divisions, tears and the evil that you have brought to Serbs, are hitting you right in your face, now. And that's just the beginning!
There is a saying – What goes around, comes around. However, when one is at the pick of the might, that saying stays forgotten.

MAJA KOCIJANCIC: Full cooperation with ICTY obligation for Serbia! THE REAL QUESTION IS: But what about Slovenia?

BRUSSELS – Trials of war crimes and full cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) are significant requirements in Serbia’s EU accession process and are also crucial for regional cooperation and reconciliation, European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic said on Thursday.
In light of this, we expect Serbia to quickly take all the necessary steps to ensure full cooperation with the Tribunal, Kocijancic noted at a press conference in Brussels.
Kocijancic said this in response to a question whether a negative ICTY report to the UN Security Council on the cooperation with Serbia will affect the opening of negotiation chapters 23 and 24 in Serbia’s EU accession talks, slated for June.
The preparations for the opening of chapters 23 and 24, which are also related to other matters, are currently under way and I do not want to speculate on that now, but I stress that full cooperation with the ICTY remains an obligation for Serbia, Kocijancic said.

HYBRID WARS 5. BREAKING THE BALKANS (I)

(Please reference the entire Law of Hybrid War series in order to get acquainted with the strategic themes of this article)

Reconceptualizing The Balkan Peninsula

The Balkans are the most geostrategically important region in Europe today, and truth be told, they’ve held this role for centuries before, despite whether or not various Great Powers acknowledged this at the time. The purpose of the current study isn’t to meticulously analyze the past, but to define the present and forecast the future. The cusp of their contemporary importance is in serving as a geographic facilitator for two Russian and Chinese megaprojects that aim to penetrate the ‘unipolar continent’ with unshakable multipolar influence, and herein lays the reason why they’re the second most likely to fall victim to Hybrid War. All of this will be thoroughly described in the proceeding sections and parts, but prior to that point, it’s absolutely necessary for the reader to reconceptualize their understanding of the Balkans in order to better comprehend the strategic logic behind Moscow and Beijing’s ambitious geo-economic plans.

IS THE FUTURE AMERICA's FIRST LADY GOING TO BE FROM FORMER YUGOSLAVIA?

The way things go in the US elections the former model Melania Trump née Knavs could be the next Jackie Kennedy!
Who is the lady that could become the Second Foreign-Born First Lady?  This would be a second time in almost 200 years, after Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams — wife of the sixth U.S. President John Quincy Adams — who was in the Office from 1825 to 1829. Catherine was born near Tower Hill London, England.
Melania Knavs was born in SFR Yugoslavia in 1970, in Sevnica, in Slovenia's Lower Sava Valley. Knavs studied design and architecture at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. She began her modeling career at age 16, and at age 18 signed with a modeling agency in Milan, Italy working as a model for fashion houses in Milan and Paris before relocating to New York City in 1996.
