IS SERBIA CLOSER TO EEU, THAN TO EU?

EEU ASTANA SUMMIT MAY AGREE ON EEU-SERBIA TRADE REGIME UNIFICATION


The decision to launch negotiations on the trade regime unification agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Serbia may be made at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting in Astana on May 31, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said Monday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Eurasian Economic Council has signed memorandum of understanding with the governments of Mongolia, Peru and Chile, signing of cooperation agreements with Cambodia, South Korea, Ecuador and Mercosur are being coordinated, he added.

"The decision to launch the negotiations on the trade regime unification agreement with Serbia is expected to be adopted in Astana," Ushakov told journalists.

The EEU is an international organization for economic integration launched in 2015, with Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia as its member states. (Source: Sputnik International)
