NATO aggressor lunched another terrorist attack on Serbia and F.R. Yugoslavia. Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and F.R.Y., as well as Novi Sad the second largest city in Serbia, were savagely attacked from the air. The NATO planes bombed the center of Belgrade, for the first time since the beginning of air strikes against F.R. Yugoslavia on March 24. Affected were the buildings of the Republican and Federal Ministry of the Interior. In Novi Sad, a second bridge over the Danube was destroyed.
The aggression started, with no declaration of war and without the consent of the UN Security Council, on March, 24th, 1999. At 20:03 (8:03 P.M.), the first rocket of this 78 days long terrorist NATO attack, hit the town of Novi Sad, about 500Km (311 miles) to the North from Kosovo and Metohia Province. More than 3000 citizens were killed during the aggression. Infrastructure was destroyed. Cluster bombs were used, as well as, ammo with depleted uranium. Today, Serbia is the leader in Europe in respect of cancer rate, which grows about 2.5% per year.
However, Serbs shot down 120 NATO aircraft, one of them was "invisible" F-177a that was confirmed by crashing near the village of Budjanovci. Serbian air force managed to launch four counter-attacks. The first one was conducted on April, 13th, 1999. Four Serbian figher planes attacked the camp of Atlantic brigade. One AH64 Apache was destroyed, and the Atlantic brigade suffered some serious losses. The second one was carried out on April, 18th, 1999 when the airport in Tuzla was pacified. A striking group of nine Serbian fighter planes, one G-4 Super Galeb (Seagal), six J-22 Orao (Eagle), and two MIG-21, launched the attack from Ponikve airport near the town of Uzice, led by major Zivojin Gavrilovic. Fifteen minutes were enough for Serbian strike force to destroy 21 NATO airplanes, and 3 helicopters. Eleven NATO officers, pilots and other personal was killed. The third time Serbian defenders targeted the NATO airport near Tirana, the capital of Albania. In a surprise attack, on April, 26th, 1999., four G-4 Galeb fighter planes destroyed five Boeing AH-64 Apache that were prepared as air support for the Atlantic brigade attack on Serbian Army defending state border between Serbia and Albania. The fourth attack of Serbian air forces was launched on May, 5th, 1999., as an air support against NATO Atlantic brigade which attacked Serbina border posts Kosare and Gorozup.
