SURVEY: SERBIAN YOUTH HALVED IN RESPECT TO EU MEMBERSHIP

Results of “Serbia and Europe in the Eyes of Youth” Survey

A presentation of the survey of youth opinions on the European integration of Serbia was held on 2 June at the Faculty of Political Sciences. The survey was implemented in April 2016 by the European Movement in Serbia, in cooperation with FPS and second-year students. The presentation of results was followed by a debate with the participation of Tanja Miščević, Head of the Negotiation Team for Serbia’s accession to the EU, Maja Bobić, Secretary General of EMiS, and Ivana Radić Milosavljević, assistant at the Faculty of Political Sciences. The survey was implemented between 19 and 29 April over 979 interviewees across the territory of Serbia, including Kosovo and Metohija, with the participants being young people 15 to 29 years of age.

Every other interviewed is not satisfied with his/her life. Every third thinks that has no freedom to live the way he/she wants. The main issue is we are talking Serbian youth, here.
The results were presented by students, stating that Serbian membership in the European Union is not supported by 33 percent of youth, 27 percent do not care whether Serbia joins the EU, while 12 percent absolutely support membership. Likewise, 42.6 percent of young people believe Serbia should rely on Russia in foreign policy issues, 19.4 believe it should be the EU, while 3.9 percent believe support should be found in the United States. Nearly 80 percent of young people believe things in Serbia are not heading in the right direction, while the average assessment on a scale of one to five for the situation in Serbia is 2.26.

Comparing this one with previous, one could see that the Serbian youth is not happy with the life (33.3 to 50%), but shows no interest to change that! The question How close are you following political events - 11.7% not follow at all, 43.6% follow rarely, 33.1% follow frequently, 11.6% very frequently
Is it possible to change things in Serbia by elections - 62% NO; Is there any politician you thrust - 70.4% NO
The results of the “Serbia and Europe in the Eyes of Youth” survey can be found here.

53 percent of Serbians believe the country should continue with EU integration even after Britain's departure from the Union.

The situation in Serbia has been graded 2.26, on average, on the 1 to 5 scale. Are things going in right direction - 79.4% said NO!
Tanjug said this quoting an article in Belgrade-based newspaper Blic, which reported the preliminary results of a survey conducted by the Institute for European Affairs NGOAccording to the preliminary results they seem to be somewhat different in respect of the accession to the EU support, but similar concerning the "Kosovo" condition, comparing to the results obtained in April, 2016., and recently published by the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit.

The most troubling is the answer of Serbian youth to the
question What system meets the Serbian mentality - 45%
think that is Autocracy, 29% Iron-handed regime, and only
26% believes it is Democracy! I think that is the conclusion
of Western Intelligence Services, as well. That is the reason
they are trying to find a suitable dictator for Serbs (Milo in
Montenegro, Vucic, maybe, in Serbia).
The poll, done in the first half of July, will be presented on Thursday, July 28.

The results indicate that, in the wake of the British EU referendum, Serbian citizens are more supportive of Germany's EU policy than they are of the UK's, Tanjug reported.

Half of those who took part in the poll believe that the economic situation is better in the EU, with as many convinced that respect for human rights and freedoms is on a higher level in the EU. Despite this, 49 percent of respondents said they believe the Russian societal model suits Serbia.

Only 9.8 percent of young people aged 18 to 29 backed Serbia joining NATO, while this figure grew to 13.2 percent among those aged over 60.

80 percent of respondents said Kosovo should never be recognized as independent, "even if that is a condition for EU membership."

The most frequent comments about EU that Serbian youth can hear, as much as, 72% are - They bombed us, and now we are to be their member! They took Kosovo (and Metohija) and now we are to enter EU!

How well are you informed about EU - I nearly have no info (3.9%); I have very little info (21.5%); I am partly informed (42.5%); I am well informed (24.3%); I am very well informed (7.8%). It appears that 2/3 of Serbian youth have opinion and position about EU relying on none to partial information! Moreover, 47-49% do not know how many member-states are in EU, who is PM of France or Britain ...
The daily also said in its report that "almost half of all respondents, 29 percent," think Crimea should be recognized as a part of Russia, while the figure was 59 percent among those aged 18-29.

[29% of those who are "for the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia", mean that 71% were not for that, have no opinion or something similar. These 71% do not seem to realize that in the case of Crimea, is indigo copied case of Baranja! That's what they've made of us. GMO Serbs with no national consciousness, bad education, especially in terms of their own history, without the ability of analytical thinking and systematic action, only able to copy-paste and to wait for a God-given dictator and/or Brussels, Moscow or any third colonial metropolis to solve all their problems. For your information dear GM Serbs, Baranja was given by Tito, after the war, as a gift to Croatia although it had always been within the Serb's Vojvodina! Three heroic hearts are not, as Tita taught you "Srem, Banat and Backa", although it rhymes (in Serbian, of course), but "Banat, Backa and Baranja," while Srem had always been the "heart heroic" for itself. Therefore, the policy of the League of Social-democrats of Vojvodina is especially interesting. They are ready to "fight for Vojvodina" to rip Serbia up and seek for the "Republic of Vojvodina", but do not even think of "spliting" Croatia and Baranja ad reunite Baranja to their "republic", even an "indpendent state of Vojvodina", they secretly dream of! If nothing else, they could  put one more, the fourth, yellow star to the flag of Vojvodina, but they don't dare. Serbia is allowed to be the thorn up in pieces, but they do not have the same order for Croatia. What Tito did with Baranja in the late 40's, Khrushchev did with Crimea in the mid-50s. He took it from Russia and gave to Ukraine, as a gift. - remark by LG]

And finally, "EU questions", Upper left: Is the first impression of yours positive or negative when you hear "European Union" - 49.4% positive, however 50.6% go negative; Upper right: Do you support the accession of Serbia to the European Union - 33% NO; 27% absolutely do not care; 28% tend to support rather than not to support; 12% absolutely YES; Lower left: If the condition for the accession to the EU would be "Kosovo" independence recognition would you support the accession - 74.4% percent of respondents said NO, 25.6% YES; Lower right: 50.3% believe that Serbia SHALL NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF EU!
